Our lab is devoted to studying how people live well after mental disorders. In our previous study, we found that about 1 out of 10 people who have depression go on to report very high levels of well-being afterward.
Our goal now is to build upon these results. Specifically, we want to better understand the process by which people make transitions between depression and states of well-being.
We are planning to study two groups:
People who have had experience with depression at some time in their life.
People who have never experienced depression
Through this study, we hope to better understand what works and what doesn’t as people try to emerge from depression.
Why are we conducting this study?
After filling out the application, here are some next steps:
Step 1: Screening
Through a phone screening interview, we will determine if you are a good fit for our study.
Step 2: Main Study
If we determine that you’re a good fit for the study, we will conduct two longer interview video calls.
Step 3: Follow up
In the future, we plan a follow up of the main study. In our consent form we ask if
you are willing to be contacted about the follow up.
All our interviews will be conducting virtually, through Zoom.
