Cassondra Lyman, M.A.
Graduate Student
Cass is a 2nd-year graduate student in the Social Psychology Ph.D. program. She has earned a B.A. in Statistics and a graduate certificate in Data Analytics, in addition to her B.S. in Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology. She is interested in how people's perceptions of themselves and the world around them influence their long-term goals and functioning. Thus far, her research has focused on understanding how well-being changes over time, especially after depression. Her current works aim to clarify what predicts sustained well-being over time. Related to this, she is interested in understanding how the incorporation of depressive experiences into people’s life stories and sense of self drives post-depressive outcomes, like social connectedness and well-being.
In her free time, Cass enjoys lifting weights and running, making things from scratch, and socializing. She’ll loves intellectually stimulating conversation or collaborative work, so feel free to email her.
